Tutorial: How to use Xtool A80 to change instrument display language and add new BE key to Mercedes-Benz W204.
Devices required:
XTOOL A80 H6 Full System OBDII Car Diagnostic Tool (with VCI Box)
Xtool KC501 Car Key Programmer
CG Mercedes-Benz MB BE Key
Mercedes-Benz W204 Instruments
Original Benz Car Key
Working Mode:
On bench (remove Benz W204 instrument from car)
Steps:
1.Xtool A80 Change Benz W204 Instrument Display Language (Russian to English)
Current language is Russian.
When you connect the Xtool VCI box to your device, the indicator will be on
Tap Diagnostics>>Mercedes>>Auto Detect
Check vehicle information
Tap System Selection>>Information and Communication>>Instrument Cluster (IC)>>Special Features>>Configuration>>Manual Settings>>Current Menu Settings
*Other current menu settings can be adjusted in the vehicle via the instrument cluster.
Tap "Edit"
Select your desired language (e.g. English)
Then it will suddenly change
Coding completed successfully
The instrument display language is now English.

2. Xtool A80+KC501+CG Mercedes Benz MB Be key add Benz W204 CGDI BE key
Step 1. Read EIS data
Tap Special Functions>>Key Programming>>BENZ>>Infrared Key System>>EIS Functions>>Read EIS Information>>Read via OBD>>Automatic Identification (CAN)
Save the read EIS data
Step 2. Calculate password
Return to infrared key system interface
Tap Password Calculation>> Data Collection>> Program with key
Follow the on-screen instructions
Connect KC501 to xtool a80.
Insert the original car key into EIS
Wait 5 seconds, then remove the original car key from EIS
Select a method to communicate with EIS
Select Read via OBD. >> Automatic Identification (CAN)
Insert the same original car key into the lock
Wait 5 seconds, then remove the original car key from the EIS
Insert the original car key into the infrared key slot of KC501.
Data collection is completed.
Insert the original key into the EIS (wait 30 seconds without turning on the ignition switch, then remove and insert)
You may need to remove and insert the original key multiple times to start the car successfully.
Step 3. Generate key file
Keep the Internet connection normal
Back to the infrared key system interface
Tap Generate key file
Select and generate the EIS data saved in step 1
Enter the key information including the password (16 digits) calculated in step 2 and the location of the key to be generated
Save the key file after generation
Connect Xtool KC501 to the Xtool A80 device and insert the new key into the KC501 infrared key slot.
Burning successful
Finally, test the new key and it works fine!
Now you have completed the whole process of changing the instrument display language and adding a Mercedes Benz W204 BE key with Xtool A80 and KC501.
